My immediate guess, since I've never made a list, is that the only phones that don't wreak havoc when juxtaposed to the noun-enders are liquids and nasals. And even with liquids and nasals, examples are not legion, which is why I'm being a little dodgy about this. löifthíks is, of course, a gorgeously quintessential Géarthnuns word.
