I don’t speak Esperanto. I understand it because a lot of words are similar to words I know.

Sorry for somewhat primitive utterances - Hallti is in its infancy and I lack words and grammar constructs for some concepts.

Lo importante és que has una lingua che és veramente tua. Non devis apprendére un' altra lingua artifizále se has una pròpria.
Important is that you have your very own language. You don't need to learn another conlang if you have your own.

Et subre la natura del'Esperanto, só de accordo con Masako.
And about the nature of Esperanto, I agree with Masako.

Yes, but it isn't descended from Latin.

(At least not in the way French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, other Romance natlangs, and even some conlangs are. I don't want to argue about this, and I can certainly understand why some people would consider Esperanto a Romance language, but this is just my point of view. I'm actually not sure masako was even saying that Esperanto was a Romance language, but rather just stating a few facts about it relevant to the question. But I could be wrong about that.)

D'abitudi, gzo definisc ne romleimb com ne conleimb regolair-mient derivaid delli latìn.
[dabɪˈtoːɾɪ ˈdʑɔ dɛfɪˈnesk nə ʁɔmˈlem ˈkɔm nə kɔnˈlem ʁɛgɔˈlæːɪ̯ɾ ˈmind‿dɛɾɪˈvæːɪ̯t ˈdɛllɪ laˈteːn]
Usually, I define a romlang as a conlang that is regularly derived from Latin.

L'esperanto nen ès regolair-mient derivad delli latìn, pair gzo di ca nen ès na romlemba.
[lɛspɛɾanˈtɔ nə‿ˈnas ʁɛgɔˈlæːɪ̯ɾ ˈmind‿dɛɾɪˈvaːt ˈdɛllɪ laˈteːn ˈpæːɪ̯ɾ ˈdʑɔ ˈde ka nə‿ˈnas na ʁomˈlɛmba]
Esperanto isn't regularly derived from Latin, so I say it isn't a romlang.
