One just isn't enough.
I am praying for you all, with sincerity and on occasion gritted teeth.

I seldom think before I speak.
That requires patience, an art I have little practice in.

Re: Catlang
Whether the cats use one or two paws to scratch depends on how they position their writing surface. If they put their writing material on horizontal surface, they most likely have to use one paw to scratch, using another to balance themselves and to hold the material in place (assuming it's something looseleaf like birch bark). On the other paw, if they put things onto a vertical surface (or scratch on fences and trees and couches and such), they would have to use both paws for more force.

Re: Catlang
Cats usually use two paws to scratch on surfaces. I think that might have been the idea.
I like Ossicone's "script", anyway :)

It annoys you, just as planned. Mwahahaha!Pe King wrote:What good does that do?jseamus wrote:I vote "maybe" on all counts.
But seriously, I vote for 5-10 consonants, preferably relying most heavily on nasals and rhotics; yes on gemination, possibly distinguishing more than two lengths; 2-3 vowel qualities, multiple lengths + r-coloring (and possibly nasalization?).
This is the world.
Re: Catlang
Well, I did say that it depends on the orientation of the writing surface. Try to forcefully scratch two parallel lines with two pencils, one in each hand, on a loose-leaf material on a horizontal surface, and you'll see what I mean.teh_Foxx0rz wrote:Cats usually use two paws to scratch on surfaces. But I like her script too. Looks boss.
EDIT #31249012840921834 (:P)
A pencil isn't the best analogy; try using fishhooks on a piece of birch bark.
Which just forces me to ask the question; loose-leaf or stationary recording surfaces?

Re: Catlang
*nothing to say*
I can only write that "catlang" is "rot-syr'atkan" in my conlang Emmut and "kasan kien" / "kien u kasan" in Usu.
